Can I speak to you before committing to counselling?

Absolutely. I offer a free 20-minute consultation where we can briefly discuss what you’re looking for, answer any questions you have and see whether working together feels right for you.

There is no obligation to book ongoing counselling afterwards.

How can counselling help?

People come to counselling for many different reasons. You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, low, anxious, or simply want space to understand yourself better.

Counselling can support you to:

  • make sense of your thoughts and emotions

  • feel more grounded and less overwhelmed

  • build self-awareness and confidence

  • explore patterns in relationships

  • develop ways of coping that feel right for you

You don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out.

What can I talk about in sessions?

You can bring whatever feels important to you. There’s no expectation to fit into a specific category or label.

Some people come with things like anxiety, low mood, relationship or family difficulties, or feeling overwhelmed — but you’re welcome whether your experience feels clear or unclear.

What happens in the first session?

The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what’s brought you to counselling, what you might want from it, and any questions you have.

There’s no pressure to share everything straight away — we go at your pace.

What happens in ongoing sessions?

Sessions are led by you. You might want to talk about something that’s come up recently, reflect on patterns, or explore things more deeply over time.

I’ll be there to listen, support, and gently guide the process where helpful.

How long will I need counselling for?

This varies from person to person. Some people come for a short period, while others choose to work longer-term.

We can review this together regularly, so it always feels right for you.

How often are sessions?

Sessions are usually weekly, as this helps build consistency and depth in the work. However, we can discuss what works best for you.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please provide as much notice as possible. Cancellations with more than 48 hours' notice will not incur a charge. Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice, or missed appointments without notice, will be charged at the full session fee. Exceptions are at the counsellor's discretion under exceptional circumstances.

Where are sessions held?

I offer both in-person counselling in Enfield and online counselling via secure video call. Online sessions are available to adults across the UK.

How much does counselling cost?

Sessions are £70 for 50 minutes. Payment is required in advance via bank transfer.

What happens if I don’t think counselling is right for me?

That’s completely okay. The initial consultation is an opportunity to ask questions and decide whether counselling feels right for you. There is no obligation to continue.
